Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actress, singer and songwriter for a number of years. As a child she was subjected to racial taunts by American citizens of all races. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she received praises for her singing as she built confidence. The singer not only gained confidence from the experience however, she also re-evaluate her career goals. She was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. As she was turning 23 years old, she launched her professional career in Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, when she was 23 she made her film debut in You've got mail. In the Broadway version of the original show Spamalot She played the role of Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as critical praise. The following year, she appeared as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC, she gained greater appreciation. Also, she is a well-known singer and has published an extended version of her play. She has also been a vocal advocate for LGBT concerns.
